8 posts · Joined 2013. #30 · Oct 8, 2016. One of the main reasons motorcycle owners use diesel engine oil in bikes is because of the shearing action of the gear sets in the transmissions. The front gear train on diesel engines is hard on oil so it is formulated to not break down.
Just got a 2011 Renegade 800 EFI, used to be a Polaris rider for a while but always loved not only the performance of Can Am Renegades, but the ascetically pleasing looks as well. Finally made the jump and got a Renegade, I bought this quad used so before I take it out I want to change the fluids, among other things.

No oil spots below it, no leaks. When first taking out the dip stick, the oil level shows the level on minimum. Insert the dipstick, remove it and now it shows a full .
